That's really clever! I should have thought of this before though; the largest tree in our backyard started as a "volunteer" growing in the rocks of our driveway border. We replanted it in the backyard over a decade ago and it's currently about 18" in diameter.

I wonder if the flower tips were getting too much light. Perhaps if the intensity of the grow light was reduced by 10% or so they wouldn’t have burned?

Put the flower you want ti save in the Freezer, not the refrigerator. They only last a day or so in the fridge, but much longer in the freezer

I appreciate how you show us your failures as well as successes. Hydroponic gardening doesn't always work the way we want. Choosing the right variety is so important.

I removed the white piece and also light needs to be lowered until it sprouts then extension arm added

I grew this zucchini variety indoors with a standard DWC hydroponics system I built (larger then the Aerogarden). I was able to get a couple zucchini, but most failed since its super hard for hand pollination to work successfully. I also tried it in potting soil indoors and had the same issues. It's not a hydroponics issue its a pollination issue. The hydroponics version grew better too for added context. I then grew the same variety outside and it was very productive. tl;dr: Hand pollinating zucchini just doesn't work very well.

they get huge. why would you do that?? use a bucket and pump. use the paper towel method to germinate seeds.

This may have been a failed experiment for you but it’s a great example of what can happen.. I appreciate your content and love your outlook on hydroponic gardening

I moved 2 pepper plants outside without hardening. 1 survived. It went completely barren of leaves. But now it's exploding with growth and fruit. I moved 6 tomatoes from hydroponic to soil and hardened them first. They have gone absolutely crazy with growth and fruit. I'm in Utah 7b. And the sun gets a little nuts.

Thank you so much for showing me how to install the water indicator in the right position for the Aerogarden harvest because I took it out for the first time following the instructions for the seeds starting system manually and the manual doesn't tell you the correct way to install the nozzle back in the correct position. Now I know that the small thin part goes to the bottom. I look online I was unable to find anything on how to install the water indicator for the Harvest correctly until I watch your video. Thank you for your tutorials.

I did that this year and what I noticed is the leaves that we're established in the AG don't seem to do so well, however the new leaves and as the plant grows all comes in strong. So eventually you just prune off the old leaves. Just my personal experience this year with tomatoes and peppers mainly.

I had success with transplanting turnips, 0 sign of transplant shock. But both of my one month old cucumbers didn’t survive the transplanting 😢 I think the reason was because I used old waterlogged soil while the turnips were planted in fresh store bought soil
